I searched for 46-inch LCD TV for months, and each site has recommended the Samsung 550, so I bought it. I am not a technician, so I will just say this: the speaker on all Samsungs are at the bottom of the series, so unless you do not know how to connect an external audio system, each show will be heard Like You 'Re inside a box with the lid closed. I went back and got the Sony, which is a big improvement, the speakers are on the front of the series, in which they belong. The image is strong, rich colors and beautiful, it is easy to navigate. This is a great TV. Unlike Samsung, which is incredibly bright and reflective, Sony seems even bigger in my living room. I love it!
